eSIM is here!

Hi mate,

MATE is excited to share some major news about a project that we have been working on for quite some time.

We are proud to announce the availability of embedded SIM card technology on our mobile services, otherwise known as eSIM!

eSIM improves the customer experience for those who have a compatible phone by removing the need for fiddling around with SIM card trays and switching out tiny pieces of plastic when the customer wants to switch from their current provider to MATE.

It also removes the need to wait for the SIM card to arrive in the post, meaning you can activate MATE mobile services on the spot!

The speed of activating services provides an overall better experience for you and most importantly, your customers!

Only unlocked phones that are eSIM compatible can activate with eSIM.

We recommend following this simple process to ensure a smooth transition for your customers:

1. Check your phone

Verify your unlocked phone is eSIM compatible. If it’s not, don’t stress! You can still join MATE mobile, you will just need to ensure you don’t tick the box to request an eSIM.

2. Buy your plan

Once you have verified that your phone is compatible, choose your plan, select “I would like an eSIM” and complete the checkout.

3. Activate your eSIM

Activate your plan and install your eSIM by scanning the QR code we email you. If you’re not sure, don’t stress – contact your dedicated support team on 1300 952 675 and we can walk you through it.
